Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is adapted into a ballet opera. All the performers are professional ballet dancers from the China Central Ballet Troupe. The opera will be presented in three parts.

CONCERTS
Titan-Mahler Series Symphonic Concert, which is a part of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra 07-08 Music Season, will be presented on April 19. The concert's programs are Haydn Concerto in D Major Hob. XVIII:11 and Mahler Symphony No 1 Titan. Well-known Austrian conductor Johannes Wildner will wield the baton and Xavier De Maistre will take up the harp.

This concert has been called a miracle of clarinet, and combines music with stories. Acclaimed Chinese clarinet player Pang Weilong will lead the concert. Pang is not only an outstanding player but also a well-known teacher of the instrument.

EXHIBITIONS
Zhao Shou's works are considered avant-garde. After new China was established in 1949, Zhao spared no effort to popularize painting in Guangdong province. Most of his works were collected by the Guangdong Museum of Art after his death in 2003. More than 100 of these pieces are on show.

A Same World - Art Exhibition on Chinese Painters' Drawing for the United Nation Family is an important event to welcome the Beijing Olympic Games. It brings together the works of 200 Chinese painters who have captured typical images from the 192 member countries of the United Nations.
