Bank makes house calls

The central bank's credit collection center will send experts door-to-door in Beijing's 20 communities so that residents can check their credit reports without leaving home. The move, prompted by the center, CITIC Prudential Life Insurance Co and CITIC Bank, aims to raise awareness about credit records. Statistics from the central bank show that by the end of 2007, the country's credit collection system had 600 million people's information on record.
