Cooperation on environmental protection will be a top priority for Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt's five-day visit to China starting today, Swedish Ambassador to China Mikael Lindstrom has said.
As China faces the crucial challenge of balancing economic growth with environmental protection, Lindstrom sees his own country as a "good case study of the fact that you can both do something good for the climate and still have growth".
"It's not 'either or' - either growth or damaging the environment. We are demonstrating that you can combine good, sensible, anti-greenhouse gas policies and economic growth," Lindstrom told China Daily during an interview in Beijing last week.
