A case of total misunderstanding

As a French citizen of Chinese origin, I am shocked by the way "activists" in France have behaved toward the Olympic torch relay in Paris. I have the feeling that there is a total misunderstanding of China in France.

The misunderstanding took root in the 1968 social revolution in Paris. At that time, there were only a few people who were interested in studying China for many historical reasons. They were interested in the sustained Chinese Revolution without understanding the real situation in China. After the 1980s, these intellectuals became extremely aggressive toward China's economic and political reform.
