Lumps found after breast enlargement procedure
A 37-year-old woman surnamed Wei was overcome with regret when she found three benign tumors growing in her breasts after undergoing a breast enlargement program in Haikou, Hainan province.
Wei had visited a beauty parlor on Changmao Road at the end of last year after seeing an advertisement for breast enlargement services.
People at the salon told Wei to use a special instrument to help enlarge her breasts. She paid them more than 6,000 yuan ($860) for the advice.
To her dismay, doctors at Hainan Provincial Hospital of Women and Children found lumps in her breasts soon after she took part in the enlargement program. She had the lumps removed last week.
Wei said she still feels pain in her breasts. The local administration of industry and commerce launched an investigation after it received reports about the case.
