Parents shocked by bank-busting hairdos
The parents of Zhang Ya and Yuan Lili had to travel to Zhengzhou, Henan province, to determine why the two schoolgirls had been forced to pay 12,000 yuan ($1,700) after having their hair done at a local beauty salon.
A beauty salon on Erqi Road in the Henan provincial capital charged more than most workers make in a year for the service.
