Linking Darfur with Olympics ridiculous

Just a few years ago, not many Africa experts paid much attention to Darfur, much less the public.

But all of a sudden, the western region of Sudan has made headlines in the world and has somehow been linked to the Beijing Olympics.

Many Chinese began to ask: "How is it that a desert region thousands of kilometers away from us have anything to do with our hosting of the Games?"
