The coroner leading an inquest into the death of Princess Diana yesterday sent the jury out to consider its verdict on how she and her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, died in a Paris car crash more than a decade ago.
Lord Justice Scott Baker told the jury to take as long as they need to weigh the evidence from the six-month-long inquest into how Diana and Fayed died in the car accident in a Paris tunnel while being trailed by photographers on August 31, 1997.
More than 240 witnesses have given evidence, including Diana's close friends, Prince Philip's private secretary, a former head of the Secret Intelligence Service and Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell.
