Hoodlums beat wrong guy in revenge attack
A diner was beaten by a group of thugs at a restaurant in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, last Tuesday.
The man, surnamed Qian, was dining with a group of friends at the restaurant. The owner greeted Qian, and as the two friends chatted, a dozen hoodlums rushed in and attacked him.
Qian's attackers told him they had been paid to "teach the restaurant boss a lesson".
Qian protested that they had the wrong man, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. "You're a well-built guy, you must be the boss."
Police later found out the thugs had been paid by one of the restaurateur's former employees to take revenge for his dismissal.

Lovesick office worker sacked for harassment
A 30-year-old man has been sacked for harassing a female colleague in Nanjing, Jiangsu province.
Wang Xiang began working as a Web designer for a software company in December 2005. A few months later a new female employee, Wu Jun, started.
Wang was smitten with her. He began sending Wu text messages the next day and following her home.
Wu told Wang she wasn't interested in him and asked him to stop harassing her.
Instead, Wang began buying his colleague flowers and kneeling before her to show Wu how much he loved her.
Wu soon grew tired of the continued harassment and went to her manager. Wang was told to stop harassing Wu, but he continued. Eventually, Wang was fired.
