Hi-tech hotpots

The newly opened Regius Beef (一尊皇牛) is by far one of the city's best decorated, but also most expensive, hot pot restaurants. Dim lights, soft sofas, modern ambiance-it looks more like a fine-dining Western style restaurant than a hot pot venue.
The restaurant plays an interesting trick with its small, individually used pots. These pots are placed and used right above the tablecloth. You can't see the oven or the buttons, which makes quite a few customers curious.
Of course, there is an electric oven below the tablecloth right beneath each pot. The waiting staff grope above the tablecloth for buttons beneath to turn on and off the oven. That design has contributed to better hygiene, and more space on the table, than you'd find at most traditional hot pot eateries. Even if you accidentally touch the tablecloth where the oven is, you won't get burned because they are not that hot. But should you move the pot, you might not get proper heating.
