The comedy I Kid You Not, Kid Who? is particularly appropriate for April Fool's Day. Four "sworn brothers" are forced to split up after one of them, surnamed Zhao, is arrested. Twenty years later, three of them meet again after receiving a letter sent by Zhao before his death. Zhao has left them some gold and requested they look for his long-lost son. In trying to claim the gold, the three men cheat one another.

Kunqu Opera Peony Pavilion, adapted from the Chinese classic novel written by Tang Xianzu in the Ming Dynasty in the 16th century, tells of the tragic love between a poor scholar and the daughter of a high official. Zhang Jun, acclaimed as the "Prince of Kunqu Opera", will play the leading role. Chinese, with English subtitles.

Kunqu Opera Fifteen Strings of Cash is based on a story written by Zhu Suchen, in the Qing Dynasty. Kuang Zhong, the leading character, is an honest official informed of a miscarriage of justice. He makes a careful investigation and rights the wrongs. Chinese, with English subtitles.

Li Shimin's reign in the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) is remembered in Chinese history for its glorious cultural and economic achievements, but why did it happen? The Peking Opera The Glorious Zhenguan Years of the Tang Dynasty answers these questions through the persona of the emperor and his courtier Wei Zheng. Both Chinese and English subtitles.

CONCERT
A charismatic artist, Salvatore Licitra is regarded as a possible successor to the late Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti, because of his unforced delivery and capacity to adjust the timbre of his voice to suit the requisite emotion. At his solo concert to be held at Shanghai Grand Theater, he will present a repertoire that encompasses the heroic works of Verdi, Puccini, Giordano, Leoncavallo and Mascagni.

Exhibitions
The project The Street Belongs to All of Us is an international touring exhibition focusing on street space in cities. Its first presentation in China is being held at Shanghai Zendai MoMA, which aims to arouse more public awareness of street problems in cities. The exhibition will also visit Beijing, Guangzhou and Chongqing.

Discover the work and art of the most prestigious Belgian comic book writers and illustrators during a month-long exhibition at the Alliance Francaise of Shanghai.
