Heathrow opens new hub

Heathrow Airport's gleaming Terminal 5 opened as scheduled yesterday morning, but a series of delays left passengers less than enthused about the expensive new structure.

The first flight arrived as expected from Hong Kong, but the passengers from Miami, the first transAtlantic voyagers to test the new terminal, found they couldn't get off the plane when they got to the gate because of jetway problems.
