Street life better than parents' wrath
A university student was reunited with his parents early this week after spending more than 18 months living on the streets in Shangqiu, Henan province.
Liu Tingting, a China University of Petroleum student, was found by local police, who persuaded him to contact his parents.
Liu walked away from campus life after he failed an exam in July 2006 and had to repeat a year.
He said he would rather live on the streets than face his parents as a failure.
