Nations seek women's development

Like Chairman Mao, Mahatma Gandhi had a high opinion of women, describing them as "immeasurably man's superior" in terms of moral power.

Today, women leaders in India and China are seeking closer cooperation to exercise the leaders' visions in a modern context.

Renuka Chowdhury, India's minister for women and child development, said the two countries are working toward a document on the vision of women development by 2020.
