Foreign stores close doors

China Daily | Updated: 2008-03-25 07:26

As the Tibetan capital tries to recover from the recent unrest, foreign-brand stores remained closed on Sunday.

On downtown Beijing Middle Road, several workers were redecorating the Jack & Jones menswear store, run by Denmark's Bestseller Fashion Group. Its manager Cai Xiaoying said he didn't know when it would reopen.

"Except for a few items in the storeroom, most of my stock was looted," she said.
