All 4,663 proposals raised by members of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Committee (CPPCC), China's top advisory body, were transferred to 150 sponsoring government departments yesterday in Beijing.
The departments under the State Council and local government departments are expected to research the proposals and report back to CPPCC members before next March.
Among the proposals, the majority, 509, are on agricultural affairs, followed by 389 on medical and healthcare issues and 310 on education. The remainder relate to employment, social security, housing, environmental protection, food and drug security and other such issues, according to the CPPCC committee.
