Fans to see Bond one week early

Who's in

The movie studio behind the upcoming James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, has moved the British release date forward by one week to October 31, a spokesman for Columbia Pictures said on Wednesday.

The movie, which stars Daniel Craig as British agent 007, remains scheduled to open in North America and much of the rest of the world on November 7.

Quantum of Solace is the 22nd film in the long-running movie franchise based on the books by author Ian Fleming about a secret agent who saves the world from villains and almost always gets the girl in the end.

The most recent Bond flick, 2006's Casino Royale, marked the first time British actor Craig took on the role of Bond. It sold $594 million in tickets worldwide.

Zeta-Jones a single mother?

Who's in

Catherine Zeta-Jones will star as a single New York City mom in Bart Freundlich's not-yet-titled May-December romantic comedy.

Zeta-Jones' character captures the eye of her new neighbor, a 25-year-old man. The project seems to mirror an aspect of real life for the 38-year-old Freundlich, who's married to Julianne Moore, nine years his senior.

The film is set to shoot April 17, and casting hasn't been finalized for the male lead.

Romantic comedies are familiar territory for both the star and the writer-director. Zeta-Jones starred in Intolerable Cruelty and No Reservations, while Freundlich helmed Trust the Man, starring Moore.

And she hints the movie could be set to make its big debut at the renowned Cannes Film Festival in May.
