No return to the old days

I agree that there should be no return to old Tibet, no return to feudalism and no return to exploitation like in the old days prior to liberation.

The Dalai Lama has contributed nothing to the development in Tibet since he sneaked out of there.

Last Friday's riots in Lhasa has only reinforced the determination of the people who wish to safeguard Tibet. We are committed to a Tibet, free from foreign influence.

Australian people are suspicious that the trouble in Tibet is from those who would wish to harm China.

The Dalai Lama was swanking around Sydney about 18 months ago, performing for $500 a seat promoted by a group of Washington bankers.

It is shallow duplicity to organize street disturbances to coincide with a few disgruntled and corrupt commercial interests inimical to the Beijing Games.

In fact, the whole Dalai Lama deal is marketing a personality brand, which fails to benefit mankind.

To my knowledge, the Western media has taken a biased view of China. As to the Lhasa riots, they call Chinese reports on the turmoil "propaganda".

We must know what is "propaganda"? One of the dictionaries explains it as "false or partly false information used by a government or political party to make people agree with them".

From the beginning, the Western media has distorted the facts about the rioting in Tibet, saying China was "suppressing" the people. However, the fact is that rioters killed 13 innocent civilians.

We really should make clear whose reports are "propaganda".

China is showing restraint in dealing with the riots in Lhasa. The Chinese leadership is very patient.

I believe eventually those who have taken to the streets will come to their senses and realize that burning, killing and destroying is not in their best interests.

Let the Olympic Games just be that without blood shed.

This violence in Lhasa is damaging the Dalai Lama's own reputation.

Such riots should not happen especially as the Olympic Games in Beijing is nearing. All people in China and overseas Chinese should be proud of the Games.

The violence was certainly planned with ill intentions to destroy the dignity and goodwill of China.
