Man lands in jail over sugar cane punishment
A 60-year-old man surnamed Guan will spend 5 months in jail after he tied up and paraded a boy for stealing his sugar cane in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region's Pubei county.
A court found Guan guilty of illegally detaining the boy, surnamed Li, but reduced his sentence because he showed remorse.
