Output target

CNOOC Ltd, China's largest offshore oil producer, aims to almost double output in the western part of the South China Sea in three years, according to the president of a subsidiary company.

CNOOC will raise oil and gas output to 15 million tons of oil equivalent (toe) by 2010 from 7.8 million last year, Song Enlai, president of CNOOC Nanhai West, said. This year's target is set at 10 million toe.
