China Daily and 11 other media groups have united to ask the world to suggest questions, which may be presented to the premier when he meets the press on March 18.

On traffic

Last year, 500,000 people were either injured or killed on China's roads at great financial and social cost to the nation. Although the figures have been in decline, the ever-increasing numbers of vehicles on the roads is sure to push them up.

When will we see government action to reverse this trend, by educating road users to show more consideration and respect?

On reshuffle

It is good to see the merger of ministries. But what I am concerned about is whether the new ones can better deliver their services to taxpayers, including us foreigners who are paying taxes in China.

On residency

I have been living in this country for more than five years and my family call it home. We pay taxes as part of our social obligation. But when will we be able to enjoy a residence system where we don't have to go through the same bureaucratic procedures year on year?

On money

The hot money pouring into China is a main reason for the current inflation. The government should control the entry of hot money into China.
