"People have always criticized celebrity CPPCC members because they were only 'scenic spots' during the two sessions of past years. They couldn't come up with high-quality proposals or suggestions. But many of them have departed from such an image as they have been raising many proposals related to human-interest issues. They have been seriously fulfilling their responsibilities as CPPCC members.

"It means that human-interest issues have indeed become most critical in the two sessions and the whole of Chinese society, especially when celebrity members, who seem to be distant from common people's lives, are focusing on them. This is an encouraging message."
