Arguing couple mistaken for marauding thieves

An old man from Changchun, capital of Jilin province, heard what he thought was a band of bandits breaking down the doors of his neighbor's home and called police.

The responding officers rushed into the apartment, where instead of robbers they found a young couple embroiled in a heated quarrel. The old man from next door, surnamed Xie, had mistaken the sound of the tussle for a violent breaking and entering.
