China Daily | Updated: 2008-03-05 07:34

An Indian man returned home yesterday after spending 35 years in Pakistani prisons, most of them on death row, on a spying conviction.

Kashmir Singh, who is about 60 years old, was released on Monday from a prison in the eastern city of Lahore after being granted clemency by President Pervez Musharraf. Singh spent the night in a luxury hotel before being driven 25 km to Wagah, the border crossing between Pakistan and India.
