Yingkou finds itself in the zone

Located in the south of Yingkou, a coastal city of Liaoning province, and connected with the city center, the Liaoning (Yingkou) Coastal Industrial Base covers a total planned area of 120 sq km and will be completed in three phases. At present, the first phase of infrastructure construction has been completed, covering an area of 44 sq km, which can meet the demands of large projects. The construction of subsidiary facilities has also been completed including roads, water supplies, electricity, communications, heating system and land readjustment.

Many projects are expected to be located here including the Yingkou Pilot Base of Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (CERI), Yingkou Science and Technology Park of Foxconn Technology Group, Yingkou Coastal Industrial Park of China Minmetals Corporation, Laser Printing Equipment of Liaoning Dazu Guanhua Print Technology Co Ltd, Huanneng Thermoelectric Plant and Titanium Pigment of Astron Limited.

The Liaoning (Yingkou) Coastal Industrial Base will have two distinct divisions - ecology and services.

In the ecology section, the equipment manufacturers will focus on general-purpose equipment, special heavy equipment, numerical control machines, marine corollary equipment, automobiles and parts. The metallurgy and heavy equipment industrial area will focus on metallurgy and heavy equipment for mines, large casting and forging pieces and automobile parts. The chemical engineering area will focus on petroleum refining and deep processing, fine chemical engineering and polymer material. The Yingkou Coastal Industrial Park of China Minmetals Corporation will focus on iron and steel deep processing and equipment manufacturing. The Yingkou Science and Technology Park of Foxconn Technology Group will concentrate on information industry. The Light Industry Park will focus on spinning, garment and agricultural products deep processing. The Logistics Industry Area will provide logistic services for the industry base.

In the modern service section, the focus will be on business, trade and residence, including intermediary service organizations such as enterprise headquarters, financial centers, security centers for small and medium-sized enterprises, product testing and valuation centers and a hi-tech company incubator center, as well as residential areas. The education area will include primary and middle schools, universities and professional training institutes.

The general objective of the development and construction in the first phase of the base is to complete infrastructure construction in three years, realize reasonable industrial distribution in five years, and realize the development of an industrial cluster around metallurgy equipment and printing equipment industries, electronic information industry, petroleum processing industry, and a modern coastal city.
