12 killed in land dispute
Twelve people were shot, hacked or burned to death in the latest of a series of bloody property disputes to plague the Mount Elgon area near the Kenya-Uganda border, police said yesterday.
"As a result, 12 people were killed ... Ten houses were burned to ashes and six people were seriously injured," police spokesman Eric Kiraithe said in a statement.
