The camera never lies

A policeman in Shangyu, Zhejiang province, has spent his own money to buy a video camera to record his dealings with the public.

The camera is set up in the policeman's office to protect himself and his colleague from people who willfully cause trouble.

Once a man seeking their help claimed the policemen had confiscated his identity card. After being shown what the camera had captured, the man quietly left.

Living by one's horoscope

Jiang, a 37-year-old employee of a real estate company in Yantai, Shandong province, is so superstitious he has changed the name of his 10-year-old daughter four times.

A graduate of a well-known university, Jiang likes burning incense and kowtowing before a statute of Buddha. Whenever he plans to do something, he first consults his horoscope as he believes everything is decided by fate.
