Little ray of Sunshine

Beijing Hotel's Sunshine Cafe (阳光咖啡厅) reopened in February after three months of renovations. The hotel has spent lavishly to attract guests during the upcoming Olympic Games.

As the "family hotel" for the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Beijing Hotel will host IOC officials, as well as presidents of Olympic Committees from different countries.

The new cafe on the hotel's ground floor is over 850 sq m, with a seating capacity of 260 people. Contemporary concepts are fused with traditional architectural styles to form a bright, spacious dining area, which is romantic and comfortable. An impressive front gate made with stainless steel and glass has a transparent glass wine cellar to the left, which is 8.5 m high. Tables for four facing Chang'an Avenue have a bamboo decor, with streams and pebbles. The decoration is a combination of tradition and fashion, nature and modernity.
