Face reality of Internet

The popularity of the Internet has forced us to quicken our steps in learning how to correctly handle events like a recent sex photo scandal, says a signed article in the People's Daily. The following is an excerpt.

The Internet really has a far-reaching influence. Even though adults haven't agreed on how to deal with the recent sex photo scandal of Edison Chen in Hong Kong, they have to face the tough task of guiding their students and children in correctly understanding the situation.

The new semester has just started but primary and middle school students in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Chongqing have already organized class meetings, discussing the issue. As a sampling shows, about 40 percent of primary and secondary school students have access to sex photos in Hong Kong, while in Guangzhou this number is higher. Some students have uploaded pictures in which they kiss their girlfriends on a bed, like in the Edison sex photos. They even upload naked photos.
