Horror role for Children of Men star

Who's in

Hollywood actress Julianne Moore has reportedly signed on to star in the supernatural horror thriller Shelter.

Moore is best-known for her roles in Children of Men, The Hours, Far From Heaven, Hannibal, An Ideal Husband, Magnolia and The End of the Affair.

Based on a script by Identity and Jack Frost writer Michael Cooney, Shelter is set to be directed by Swedish filmmakers Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, Variety.com said.

Marlind and Stein previously collaborated on Storm.

Shelter is slated to begin shooting in late March in Pittsburgh, the entertainment industry trade paper said.

Mum's the word for Stefani

Singer and songwriter Gwen Stefani, whose 2004 album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. proved to be a breakout solo hit, is pregnant with her second child with husband Gavin Rossdale, according to several news reports on Tuesday.

Celebrity website People.com quoted Douglas Rossdale, Gavin's father, as saying, "the whole family are delighted."

"We are very much looking forward to another grandchild," he said.

A Los Angeles-based spokesman for Stefani was not immediately available to comment.

Stefani, 38, and Rossdale, 40, who gained fame in British rock band Bush, have one other child, a son named Kingston who was born in 2006. Stefani and Rossdale were married in 2002.

California native Stefani rose to stardom singing for the band No Doubt in the 1980s and 1990s. In 2006, she released her second solo effort, Sweet Escape.

Cruise first to get new superbike

Tom Cruise is the first on the list to get Ducati's newest motorcycle - a $72,500 superbike bristling with titanium, magnesium and carbon fiber technology that can scoot up to 322 kph.

Cruise is scheduled to take delivery of the Desmosedici RR at Beverly Hills Ducati this week. Only 1,500 of the red-and-white Moto GP racing replica motorcycles will be made and Cruise gets the first.

Michael Lock, chief of Cupertino-based Ducati North America, said the Desmosedici RR "is the impossible dream - made possible."

"We are delighted to be able to deliver the world's first production unit here in the US to Tom Cruise, who is a well-known Ducati enthusiast," Lock said in a statement.
