Titled Blossom and Affluence, a concert is given by the Pearl River Film Orchestra to celebrate the upcoming Chinese lunar New Year in two halves. The first will feature traditional Chinese music, including songs such as Jasmine, Song of Peony, and The Peach Blossom Blooming There. Seven Western-style songs will be performed in the second half.

Trey Lee is one of the most compelling young artists of our time. His playing combines intellectual sophistication and emotional sensitivity. Since winning the International Antonio Janigro Cello Competition in 2004, Lee has been kept busy attending festivals and concerts around the world.

One of Asia's leading ensembles, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HKPO), will perform at the Guangzhou Xinghai Concert Hall on Jan 31. Edo de Wart, the artistic director and conductor of the HKPO will take charge of the baton.

Wang Wenming has experimented with many forms of visual arts in his print and oil paintings. He combines lines, shapes, and sculpted pieces to make works of art that reflect his feelings. Both his prints and his paintings are direct and to the point. This exhibit shows 20 of his prints and 40 of his oil paintings.
