Watch out!

"Art is dangerous," says Japanese artist Moroizumi Shigeru, who makes use of thermometers without scales to create his enlightening installation works. His next big project is to build and videotape a huge, thermometer-like object that explodes under extreme heat, a symbol of global warming.
His previous works in the 1990s reflect his philosophical thinking and traditional Japanese aesthetics.
He often puts his installations under the sun in different sites for days or even months, to videotape the subtle movements of the red-colored liquids within the glass tubes.
"My works visualize what people usually ignore in daily life, such as the second-to-second changes of temperature as the earth rolls around the sun," he explains.
His works often involve gingko tree leaves, a symbol of timelessness and eternity.
His solo art show is on at the Fangart Gallery in southern Beijing.
