Actor Josh Duhamel, Fergie engaged
Just call him The Duke. Actor Josh Duhamel and his girlfriend, Fergie, are engaged, his publicist said Wednesday.
Duhamel's publicist, Ruth Bernstein, said her client recently popped the question to the pop star, whose debut solo album is titled The Dutchess. She did not release any other details.
Duhamel, 35, told Best Life magazine in a recent interview that he's been dating 32-year-old Fergie for about three years and that they have bought a house together.
Duhamel is the star of NBC's Las Vegas, and appeared in the action movie Transformers.
Fergie, whose name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, is a member of the Black Eyed Peas. Her hit song Big Girls Don't Cry from The Dutchess has been nominated for a Grammy award in the best female pop vocal category.
Kate Moss is 'most eBayed star'
Supermodel Kate Moss (pictured) has become the most eBayed star of 2007.
About 30,481 items related to the 33-year-old model were sold on the auction site eBay, with most of the fans after the Topshop clothing range designed by her.
Next were the Spice Girls with the sale of 26,458 bits of merchandise and memorabilia.
Pop star Britney Spears was a hit with 19,996 related items - although a tissue used by the troubled star failed to attract a bid.
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse also attracted 16,052 sales, including dozens of beehive wigs proving her popularity.
However, Harry Potter merchandise was a much huger hit than any single star with 202,081 items sold.
"Celebrity-related memorabilia on the site is the ultimate barometer of who's hot or not," England's Daily Mirror quoted an eBay spokesman, as saying.
But the top seller was Nintendo's trendy Wii video game with 644,874 related items snapped up.
Cultural exchange forum by Taihu Lake
The Taihu Forum for Culture, a non-governmental organization promoting Chinese culture and Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, has been set up in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province by the scenic Taihu Lake.
It is the first such cultural forum to be established in China. It adopts the model of World Economic Forum in Bo'ao, with the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles managing its operations.
Next year the organization will host a grand forum tackling "Dialogue on Civilization". Renowned scholars, politicians, entrepreneurs, media figures, and international officials will attend.
