Outsourcing push

Guangzhou wants to become a services outsourcing base to help boost the development of hi-tech industries, city officials said.

"We have filed an application with the Ministry of Commerce for national outsourcing city status and expect to receive approval soon," said Tang Hanghao, Guangzhou municipal government vice-secretary-general.
