Two athletes fail dope test at City Games
Wushu champion Zhao Jie from Shijiazhuang of Hebei Province and cyclist Xu Yang from Yinchuan of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region have tested positive during the Chinese City Games in Wuhan, which concluded on Saturday.
Both have been stripped of their competition results and the cities they represent are also disqualified as candidates for the sportsmanship award.
"We will cancel all results of the two athletes in the Games and severely punish the relative officials," said Jiang Zhixue, director of Science and Education Department of State General Administration of Sports. "We will see if the B sample needs to be tested after further investigation."
The Organizing Committee carried out a campaign of promoting anti-doping knowledge among youngsters. It's the first time for an anti-doping exhibition held at the City Games, which boasted more than 2,000 players and coaches.

With the Beijing Games looming, the sportswear market in China is developing rapidly and companies from home and abroad are looking for their share of the pie.
This design contest marks Jordan's effort to make itself more competitive with overseas brands.
Jordan hopes to develop local designers on the world stage through competition, and hopes to improve the overall level of China's sportswear design.
