Tumen International Free Trade Zone

Development of this project will be divided into two steps. The first step is establishing the China-Japan-ROK Bilateral and Multilateral Free Trade Zone.

The second step is to promote regional economic integration and establish the Tumen International Free Trade Zone.

Changbaishan-Jilin International Land-Port Zone

The Changchun Branch Transit Port will be founded in the zone.

Customs, commodity inspection, frontier defense inspection and interrelated facilities will be integrated for convenient customer service.

Science and Technology Innovation Zone

The area will lay emphasis on the development of scientific research and is going to act as a platform for patented innovation.

Drawing experience from and taking advantage of the Changchun National Biology and Photoelectron Industrial bases, several hi-tech research and development (R&D) centers and industrial parks will be developed.

Inter-provincial International Cooperation Industrial Zone

The area is about to set up multinational industrial parks which are under cooperation between China and Russia, Japan and ROK. The construction of a new cooperation industrial area is under consideration.

Modern Logistics Zone

The zone, which will consist of a bonded processing area, a bonded logistic area and a bonded warehouse area, is expected to become a key logistic and distribution center of Northeast China and Northeast Asia as well.

Ecological Tourism Zone

The area is going to make great efforts to develop international and inter-provincial ecological tourism.

Major projects will include facilities for leisure and travel, and a residential demonstration area with unique feature around the Changbai Mountain, presenting harmonious co-existence between man and nature.

High-end Service Zone

The development focuses will be on the capital market and a modern service industrial system in Northeast China for the promotion of the banking sector, insurance, headquarters economy, service contracting, and exhibitions and cultural exchange.

Modern Agriculture Demonstration Zone

The area is going to adopt scientific methods for land management and actively promote agricultural mechanization through the whole farming process.
