Beautiful legs, that's apparently all it takes to sashay into the glamorous world of modeling. A beauty parlor in Shenzhen recently put out an advertisement seeking girls with slender and "fair-complexioned" legs to model for it, drawing hordes of applicants.

Nothing changes

A supermarket, hard up for small change, recently decided to get some by offering 106 yuan for 100 yuan provided it's in 0.1 yuan and 0.2 yuan. But even this rather generous offer failed to set the cashboxes jingling because of the sheer shortage of small change.

Manuscripts of modern Chinese poems are selling for the price of gold these days. An auction of Chinese poetry manuscripts was held in Beijing over the weekend. Huang Yan, an artwork collector, bought a manuscript of Li Yawei's poem Chinese language department for 1.1 million yuan at the auction.

Flowing locks, money

Who knew there was money to be made in hair? Wu, a 38-year-old woman in Changsha, Hunan Province, kept her hair at 2.23 meters long - longer than basketball superstar Yao Ming. When she cut it off, she sold the hair for 2,000 yuan. There could be a case for delaying your next haircut.
