A couple in Changsha, Hunan Province, have set up a taxi service for pets.

Yi and his girlfriend were frustrated by difficulties transporting their own pets, which were often forbidden on buses and in taxis.

Yi bought a car and posted an online ad and his service is proving popular among pet owners in Changsha.

Mega cracker

A fireworks factory in Chengchong of Liuyang, Hunan Province, claims it made the world's longest firecracker this week.

The 23-km firecracker is made from hi-tech materials and weighs 2,900 kg.

It will be exploded this Friday.

Antique coin

A coin that's claimed to be the last produced in Yunnan Province during the Qing Dynasty will be sold at auction for an estimated 2 million yuan.

Owned by a Chinese antique collector's family since the 1940s, the coin was sold at auction for about 1 million yuan in 2002.
