Christophe Aniel has been appointed CEO of Mondial Assistance's China subsidiary in Beijing.

Aniel, 45, has a Master's degree from EDHEC Business School. He started his career in 1985 with AXA Insurance as a P&C and life commercial inspector, then joined Groupama as head of the professional market for Groupama Central, a position he held until 1997. This was followed by an appointment at Winterthur as production director for individuals and professionals.

Aniel joined Elvia in 1999 as technical director and member of the management committee. In 2002, he was promoted to deputy managing director of Worldcare, the group's new Australia subsidiary. He returned to France in 2004 to run Elvia France, which, on January 1, became the travel, leisure and mobility arm of Mondial Assistance France.
