China chairman
Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc (LEH) said it appointed Yang Zhizhong (left) as chairman of its China operations. Yang will be in charge of running the company's investment banking business in China.
Yang, currently the managing director and head of Lehman's China investment banking operations, will take on the newly created role immediately.
While he will mainly focus on investment banking, he will also be involved in cross-divisional business opportunities.
TCL appointment
TCL Corporation, one of China's largest television and home appliance makers, said in a statement on Tuesday that it appointed Leong Yue Wing as the company's senior vice-president.
Leong joined TCL as CEO and executive director of TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings on October 1. Before that, he worked in Philips for 28 years.
The company also said the board has approved the resignation of former vice-president Yang Weiqiang and senior vice-president Yan Yong. Yan will be appointed as the general manger for the company's strategic development.
