A new wedding post service is cashing in on a traditionally busy time for weddings in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province. Zhang Xiongwei, a postman at a wedding design company, said it's been a busy month, and couples usually send out hundreds of invitations for their wedding ceremony. "The postal service is very convenient. I just make a phone call and more than 100 invitation letters go out within three days," said Feng, who is preparing to get married later this month.
Blog mania
As personal blogs get increasingly popular, the senior citizens are also trying to join the trend. Li Changgeng, a 67-year-old retired man in Xi'an, posted a job recruitment advertisement online, seeking to employ a computer veteran to open a blog for him. Li offered 50 yuan for a day's work.
Li said his "blog writer" should be fast at typewriting and have a flair for writing, blog designing and managing. Li said he has received several applications and will select his employee through several rounds of interviews.
Lunar tourism
A Beijing tour company is offering a trip to Xichang, Sichuan Province, to watch the launch of China's first lunar probe.
The Chang'e 1 orbiter is set to launch on October 24. The five-day tour, which takes tourists to the launch site via plane and rail, is priced at 7,000 yuan per person.
