Farmer models

A group of farmers in Beisheng town of Hunan Province recently set up a team of models. The team struts around draped in plants, flowers, vegetables and fruits. Although the performers are not professional models, their intriguing clothes that can be made from anything from red pepper to yellow pumpkin, helped them earn a solid income from the several shows they held during the National Day Holiday.

Love hunter

Matchmaking website www.915915.com.cn recently dispatched a marriage consulting group to Nanjing in Jiangsu Province to help a Chinese millionaire hunt for a spouse. All the consultants in this group hold PhDs. Their client, surnamed Li, who was born in Shandong in 1981, is a finance professional in Shanghai.

Li has promised to award his personal love hunter 1 million yuan as commission if the group helps him to find love.

Lenovo goes for tops

Lenovo Group on Saturday launched a product priced at almost 40,000 yuan, one of the most expensive in the market, after releasing a model for as low as 1,499 yuan in August.

The new model, named King, has the most advanced quad-core CPU of Intel, 4 gigabytes of memory and 1 terabytes of hard disk storage. It is also the first product in the Chinese market with the blue-ray and HD DVD drives.

Xia Li, vice-president of Lenovo, said the product mainly aims at hardcore game fans and is made on demand because of the high price.
