Mongolian-language-aided cellphones are available on the market in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Thanks to this new device, the Mongolian minority group can send and read text messages and read the system in their language.

The move will help them grasp the cellphone technology quickly and use the device more conveniently, said the company.

Baby soup

Yang Guihua, a laid off woman in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, recently set up a soup shop catering to pregnant women to cash in on the baby boom in the run-up to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Yang said her soups are made of nutritious materials and traditional Chinese medicine, and have high healthcare value for pregnant women. The soups are priced at 5 to 30 yuan per bowl.

Since it was set up a month ago, her shop has been earning 300 yuan a day. "Many families are in a hurry to have children this year and next year, so the market will only get larger," said Yang.
