Output increases

GD Power Development Co, a unit of one of China's five largest electricity producers, increased output in the first nine months of this year by 13 percent to meet rising domestic demand.

The company generated 53 million megawatt-hours of electricity from January to September, GD Power said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange yesterday.

Zhuhai project

Neo-China Group (Holdings) Ltd, a Hong Kong-based builder, agreed to buy a commercial and residential property project in the southern city of Zhuhai for 3.1 billion yuan.

The project will start in early 2008 and the 2.22-million-sq-m complex will take about five years to complete, Neo-China said in a statement to Hong Kong's stock exchange yesterday.

The project will involve a mixture of commercial property and high-end residential villas, the company said.
