Ireland's Best in hospital
BORDEAUX, France: Ireland World Cup prop Simon Best was admitted to hospital here on Wednesday after suffering a loss of feeling down his right side.
Best, who has been named on the bench in the side to face Argentina on Sunday, was taken to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell.
Tests are being conducted on the 29-year-old to determine the cause of the problem.
A team spokesman said: "The team were having some down time and he was just walking around town in Bordeaux when he felt the loss of feeling down his right side.
"Team doctor Gary O'Driscoll is with him in hospital but we probably won't have any update on his condition until tomorrow (Thursday) morning."
Best, whose brother Rory was the first choice hooker at the start of the World Cup before fracturing and dislocating his thumb against Georgia, has made 23 appearances for his country, including coming on as a substitute in all three games so far during the World Cup.
