Background: The First National Software Outsourcing Base (Shanghai) Trading Fair was successfully held last year at Shanghai Pudong Software Park, which is a national software outsourcing base, as part of the Global IT Outsourcing Summit 2006. The first trade fair attracted nearly 10,000 professional visitors and more than 50 local and foreign software outsourcing companies, including SAFE Software, Venus Software, Shanghai Baosight Software, Shanghai Newtouch Software and Hyron Software.

During the trade fair, the organizing committee held one-to-one communication between domestic software outsourcing companies and clients from the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries and regions. A number of deals were signed during the fair. We also set up an online software trade platform.

The First National Software Outsourcing Base (Shanghai) Trading Fair acted as a platform to promote the software industry of Shanghai.

The Second National Software Outsourcing Base (Shanghai) Trading Fair aims to showcase the innovation and achievement of Chinese software companies and to promote communication between the local and international software industries. It is expected to help Chinese and foreign software companies explore new markets, expand sales, increase communication and create a platform for long-term partnership.

The trade fair will involve 120 software outsourcing companies, of which one-third are foreign firms from the United States, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions. They will showcase their products, technologies and service. During the fair, cataloges will be available in both Chinese and English containing information on every exhibitor. We will also hold a series of summits, outsourcing project briefings and forums on outsourcing finance and investment. Software outsourcers will have an opportunity for one-to-one communication with their clients.

The trade fair will have four functional zones: an exhibition zone, an exchange zone, a meeting and forum zone and an opening ceremony zone. The exhibition area will be divided up for outsourcing clients, outsourcers, venture capital, the Yangtze River Delta region, human resources, government service and policy support. Each area will be equipped with Internet access and telephones.

Forums will also be held on topics including: keynote speeches from the Global IT Outsourcing Summit 2007 Shanghai, an invitation to invest in the third phase of Shanghai Pudong Software Park and Kunshan Pudong Software Park, trade talks on outsourcing projects of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, trade talks on outsourcing projects of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, Russian companies and venture capital investment projects.

The Second National Software Outsourcing Base (Shanghai) Trading Fair will also set up an online software trade platform. This will extend the reach of the fair.

Cooperation with Hannover Fairs Shanghai Ltd and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council aims to expand the impact of the trade fair. It is hoped the trade fair will become an important networking platform for IT companies worldwide.
