Driver bails out couple who lose wedding ring

A desperate couple of Wuhan, Hubei province, were on the verge of putting off their wedding after losing their wedding ring on a bus on Monday, when the driver called and told them he had found it.

Sitting at the back of the bus, Tang and his fiance were trying out their wedding ring when they dropped it. They searched around but failed to locate it and left a cell phone number with the driver to let them know if it was found.

The conscientious driver later removed all the back seats of the bus and found the ring.

Zhengzhou rule on no big dogs as pets to stay

Dog lovers of Zhengzhou, Henan Province, recently tried to persuade Wang Ping, the deputy director of the Zhengzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, to rescind a ruling on big dogs.

To ensure the safety of residents, the government of Zhengzhou has decreed that large-sized (taller than 50 centimeters) dogs cannot be kept as pets. In an online forum, the dog lovers said most of the large dogs were tame and tried to convince the official with stories of how some of them had even saved their masters.

But Wang said the regulation would remain.

Dad hires teacher to play with daughter

A father in Henan Province hired a physical education teacher at 100 yuan ($13) a day to play with his daughter during the summer vacation.

Instead of sending his daughter, a primary school student, to various extra-curricular classes as is common, Lin Yufeng hired the PE teacher to play football and go swimming and mountain climbing with his daughter.

Lin said he wanted to make sure his daughter felt entertained in her holidays.
