Building on two centuries of experience
London is among only a handful of cities that can claim to be truly global capitals. The city continues to attract a large number of expatriates whose nationalities have grown even more diverse over the past several years.
The consistent influx of foreigners has further boosted demand for property in what is already one of the most expensive markets in the world.
Established in 1805, Chesterton Global has more than 200 years of experience to offer prospective buyers and current customers for the management of their real estate investments.
It has 16 offices across London and plans to add another six by the end of the year.
"We are very well established and know our marketplace very well. We have been around for a long time and are able to provide a huge wealth of experience," says CEO Robert Bartlett, who has led the company for more than two years.
Since assuming leadership of the company, Bartlett has opened a new homes department, which offers locals and foreigners the opportunity to invest in a development off-plan and before construction.
"Our new homes department is the most interesting opportunity from the point of view of the Chinese investor as it is the easiest way to access the London real estate market," he says.
Aside from off-plan developments, Chesterton offers clients its traditional property letting and management services provided by its highly experienced staff.
"It is absolutely key that our clients understand that working with Chesterton means (they are) receiving the best possible advice. Our cornerstone philosophy is to employ the best and therefore, ensure our clients receive the best services," Bartlett asserts.
Chesterton has significant experience working with Chinese clients. With historic connections with Hong Kong, the new homes department is led by Julian Sedgwick whose family has been established in the Far East for three generations.
"I am a firm believer that the Chinese economy and marketplace are going to become absolutely critical to our overall business structure within the next two to three years. Chinese investment has become a priority in London and Chesterton looks forward to continuing to work with this group of clients," says Bartlett.
