Winehouse scraps American tour

Amy Winehouse (pictured) has put her North American tour on hold, raising more concerns about her health. "Due to the rigors involved in touring, Amy Winehouse has been advised to postpone her upcoming September US and Canadian tour dates," the British singer's publicist, Tracy Miller, said in a statement Tuesday.

"Amy's European and UK tour dates in October and November remain in place. Plans are being made to reschedule her US tour for early 2008. Until then, Amy has been ordered to rest and is working with medical professionals to address her health."

Last week, it was announced that the 23-year-old was canceling all her August performances due to "severe exhaustion". While British tabloids have claimed the retro-soul singer has been in rehab due to drug abuse, her spokeswoman has denied such claims.

Barnes & Noble not stocking O.J. book

Who's in

If you're hoping to buy the new edition of O.J. Simpson's (pictured) If I Did It, don't expect to find a copy at Barnes & Noble. Citing a perceived lack of customer interest, the chain said the book would only be available by special order or for purchase online through Barnes & Noble.com.

"Our buyers don't feel there will be enough of a demand to carry it in our stores," Barnes & Noble spokeswoman Mary Ellen Keating told the Associated Press on Tuesday.

A rival chain, Borders Group Inc, said on Tuesday that it would stock If I Did It, a ghostwritten, fictionalized account of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. But spokeswoman Ann Binkley said Borders "will not promote or market the book in any way".

"We think it will have some interest in the first week or two, then die down," said Binkley, who added that Borders, which for the original book had planned to donate profits to charity, will not do so this time.

Simpson's book was first scheduled for publication last November by ReganBooks, an imprint of HarperCollins, with an announced printing of 400,000. But If I Did It was dropped in response to widespread outrage. ReganBooks founder Judith Regan was later fired and her imprint disbanded.

"It is Barnes & Noble's decision, not my decision, and the marketplace will determine whether they are right or not," Eric Kampmann, the owner and president of Beaufort Books, the new publisher of If I Did It, told the AP.

Fatone on red carpet for TV Guide Net

Joey Fatone, a former member of N Sync and current host of NBC's competition series The Singing Bee, has signed on to co-host TV Guide Network's red-carpet programming through 2008.

Fatone will share hosting duties with Lisa Rinna, who signed an exclusive deal with the channel in April to become its red-carpet host at the major Hollywood awards shows. The pair - who also have each been contestants on different seasons of ABC's Dancing With the Stars - will make their hosting debut September 16 at the Emmy Awards.
