Gateway thinking globally

QINGDAO: Its coastal location gives Qingdao prime position to attract foreign cultures and investment, but its adopted love of sailing has given visitors even more reasons to come to China.

"To host Olympic sailing competition is an opportunity for the city to step outside China and develop into an international city," Mayor of Qingdao and the President of the Olympic Sailing Committee Xia Geng said.

"By now, Qingdao has trade relations with over 190 countries and regions."
